How it Began
My father was born in Oliveri, Sicily and came to the States on a boat in 1911 when he was three years old. He received a public education that stopped after 8th grade, but nevertheless he grew up to become a Renaissance man: barber, artist, gardener, politician and inventor. None of his inventions ever came to fruition, so there’s unfinished business in our lineage.
Fast forward to “Shark Tank”, that entertaining assemblage of investors and regular folks looking to make deals. The one segment that inspired me the most was when two guys received funding for their simple foam tube that prevents change and cell phones from slipping bewtween a car seat and the center console. It made me think about a simple problem that could be remedied.
A few days later I opened one of our bottom cabinet doors looking for a snap-on lid for a specific glass storage container, and couldn’t find the one I needed. I became frustrated and quite aggravated, so rather than constantly returning to this less than pleasant state of mind, decided to come up with a solution. Hence, “Stick’n Clip” was born.
